Are you a tennis ball or an egg? Do you bounce back or do you crack? Learn to bounce back when the stressors of everyday life start getting you down by attending the ACS Resilience Training. The training will enhance your effectiveness and well-being by teaching you the skills to build mental toughness, learn what your character strengths are, build strong relationships, and lastly how to hunt the good stuff, focusing on the positive rather than the negative.
Resilience Training is offered by request with a minimum of two modules per training session.
All classes are free and take place at the Family Resilience Center, Bldg. 250 Club Road on West Fort Bliss.

Goal Setting & Hunt the Good Stuff: Learn the 7 step goal setting process for achieving personal and career goals. Create positive emotion, notice and analyze what is good.
Activating Events, Thoughts & Consequences: Identify your thoughts about an activating event and the consequences of those thoughts.
Energy Management: Regulate energy to a level that allows optimal performance.
Avoid Thinking Traps: Identify and correct counterproductive patterns in thinking.
Detect Icebergs: Identify and evaluate core beliefs and values that fuel out-of-proportion emotions and reactions.
Problem Solving: Accurately identify what caused the problem and identify solution strategies.
Put it In Perspective: Stop catastrophic thinking, reduce anxiety, and improve problem solving.
Mental Games: Thinking to enable greater concentration and focus on the task at hand.
Real Time Resilience: Shut down counterproductive thinking to enable greater concentration.
Identify Strengths in Self & Others: Identify Character Strengths in yourself and in others to recognize the best of yourself and others.
Character Strengths-Challenges & Leadership: Identifying strengths to improve teamwork and overcome challenges.
Assertive Communication: Learn to communicate in a Confident, Clear and Controlled manner.
Effective Praise & Active Constructive Responding: Learn to praise effectively & respond to others to build strong relationships.
