American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification

Get Ready for Summer!

Become a Certified Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid/AED Pro!

Take the first step toward an exciting and rewarding summer as an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard! Prepare to save lives and make a difference by earning your CPR/First Aid/AED Professional Rescuer certification.

 

Course Highlights:
  • Pre-course test required (details below)
  • Lifeguard Certification & CPR/First Aid/AED Responder training
  • Commitment to work with Fort Bliss Aquatics waives your course fees.
  • Starting pay: $15 per hour for Fort Bliss Aquatics lifeguards
  • Cost: $300 (unless you commit to work with Fort Bliss Aquatics)

 

Pretest Requirements (Must be completed before course registration):
  • Swim-tread-Swim sequence - Swim 150 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both. Maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs.
  • Brick retrieval test

Registration is required and can be done at Replica Pool or Aquatics Training Center.
