Army Child Development Centers (CDCs) are on-post facilities dedicated to reducing familial stress and support workforce readiness by offering full-time, part-time and hourly care service options for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age in nationally accredited programs.

Benefits We Offer

  • NAEYC-accredited programs
All CDCs meet the rigorous standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, ensuring high-quality early childhood education.

  • Developmentally appropriate care for ages 6 weeks to 5 years
Programming is tailored to each stage of development, supporting infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with age-appropriate learning experiences.

  • Blended curriculum using Developmentally Appropriate Practice and The Creative Curriculum
This dual approach promotes child-led exploration and purposeful play, fostering cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

  • The Creative Curriculum framework
Used across Army CDCs, this research-based model emphasizes hands-on learning, curiosity, and individualized teaching strategies aligned with 38 developmental objectives.

  • Highly trained and vetted staff
Caregivers are certified professionals who meet Department of Defense standards and are deeply committed to creating safe, nurturing environments for military children.

  • Structured classrooms and lesson plans
Daily schedules and intentional teaching strategies ensure children are engaged in meaningful learning throughout the day.

  • Nutritious meals and snack times
Children enjoy healthy breakfasts, lunches, and snacks prepared in accordance with USDA guidelines to support children's growth and development.
